Event Recap - Black Entrepreneurs ENTREPRENEURS Conference

EVENT RECAP - Black Enterprise ENTREPRENEURS Conference + Expo - Atlanta, GA - May 16th - 19th

I had the priviledged honor of attending the 15th Anniversary Black Enterprise Entepreneurs Conference + Expo. The theme was "Building Business Beyond Tomorrow" and the conference indeed captured the essence of the tagline by highligting powerful and successful professionals, as well as giving us access to business leaders and knowledge that can and will shape entrepreneurs' futures. Building your own brand is the new wave of the business world and the conference helped professionals to establish a strong foundation as we strike out on our own to conquer our dreams!

FAB was on the scene to attend the exclusive workshop sessions, exhibits, small business award luncheon, awards gala and the many many networking opportunities that were provided throughout the conference. The event reitterated the importance of surrounding yourself with positive, inspiring and business-minded individuals. Your circle of friends and colleagues should be a reflection of the type of success you aspire to achieve and should challenge you to do just that!

Thought of the Day: May 5, 2010

Being "ordinary" is for those that are afraid to authentically be themselves. After all, we were born "extraordinary" with our own intellect, voice and style.

:30 FAB Homework

Get your CAREER JOURNAL and make a list of your GOALS, OBSTACLES & PLAN OF ACTION. For every goal, there will be challenges. Stop complaining. Learn how to persevere and overcome trials. Here's the BIG question . . . Are you prepared? Your CAREER JOURNAL should have 3 columns: GOALS - OBSTACLES - PLAN OF ACTION.
