The Diva Lounge, Sunny’s Hair & Wigs and Universal/Young Money recording artist Shanell Presents “Let Your Hair Down”

(Atlanta, GA -April 6, 2010) - Shayna D of Sirius XM Radio and the owners of Sunny’s Hair and Wigs have teamed up to bring together the top business women, tastemakers, celebrity personalities and movers and shakers in Atlanta. Taking place on Sunday, April 18thin the Buckhead area of Atlanta at Sunny’s Hair and Wigs store “Let Your Hair Down,” the second edition of the Diva Lounge Atlanta, brings together hosts Shayna D. and Universal/Young Money Entertainment recording artist Shanell for a dual celebration. Shanell, is celebrating the release of her brand new mix-tape (“Shut Up and Listen”) and debut single, “Hair Down My Back,” while the owners of Sunny’s Hair and Wigs will toast their 2ndanniversary as Atlanta’s premiere retailer for premium brand hair and wigs.

In each city the Diva Lounge finds new and innovative ways to make each event an exciting experience for the women in attendance and this is no exception. In addition to appetizers from local restaurants and beverages sponsored by Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka, complimentary mini-manicures and themed photo-shoots will be offered to all guests. The Diva Lounge Atlanta will also be (re) introducing the attendees to exceptional local vendors in the hair care, beauty, and fashion industry. Confirmed sponsors include Glamour Paws, Pink Diamond Management, Diva Delights, FSL Cosmetics, Sammy B Designs NY, Singersroom.com, Crux NY and Dangerously Beautiful.

In just a short time since its conception, the Diva Lounge has become a brand to watch out for in both the music and entertainment industries, and has gained a devoted following of female (and male) industry professionals alike. With a steadily increasing number of supporters, the New York-based event has expanded to include events in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. Being a woman in the entertainment industry herself, Shayna D, the creator of the Diva Lounge brand wanted to create an event that would serve as a platform for her fellow industry mavens to meet, connect and build business relationships that would hopefully help to continue to build their respective brands.

Thought of the Day: April 9, 2010

Happiness is derived from a thought. It is often times far bigger than situations.

TOP 10 Ways to Make Yourself POP!

Want to StAnD ouT? OuT dO yoUR CoMpeTiTiOn? MaKe a StAteMeNt?

FAB has some great ideas on how to pack a punch to really show the world you can be smart, jazzy & sassy!

1.) Makeup: Wear makeup that is nicely applied, while choosing colors that fit your skin tone and is appropriate for the occasion. Specifically lipstick & eyeshadow are great ways to stand out! Nice makeup is a great conversation starter!

2.) Accessories: Choose accessories that speak to your style, personality and feelings. Integrate jewelry into your style, it will truly add a pop to your outfit!

3.) Shoes: Shoes can often be the defining element to your "fashion statement." Make sure you wear something that will have the crowd staring...for all the RIGHT reasons!

4.) Hair: Aside from makeup, hair is one of the MOST important aspects to your image. Your hair style should speak to the fact that you care about your personal appearance, without overdoing it.

4.) Nails: We use our hands in conversation, for writing and in general movement. Our nails should always be well manicured. You can even go the jazzy route with changing variables such as nail length, color and design. You can totally make a fashion statement with your HANDS.

5.) Attire: We are a materialistic world and unfortunately, we are pre-judged by our clothing. In order to succeed, we have to play by the rules of the game. Dressing appropriately is important; however dressing stylishly will make the crowd go WOA! Your outfit can make the difference between you simply being in the crowd, versus the star of the show. You decide!

6.) WOW Factor: Add a splash of whatever you'd like to make you stand out from the competition. Is it your earrings? Your smile? Your socks? Your jokes? Your belt? Choose your wow factor and positively exploit it!

7.) Bag: Your purse, business bag, etc. could be a great way to introduce your style while also showing your professionalism.

8.) Watches: Watches are the new "it" fashion accessory for ladies & men. Bigger the better. Be fashionably on time!

9.) Scarves: A great accessory to jazz up an outfit, while also looking chic & professional.

10.) Ankle Jewelry: Accessories around your ankle will add a splash of excitement to your shoes and outfit. Add a necklace, make it a bracelet. Use metals and colors. Be creative!

Spring is here, you must be FAB!
