Going's award-winning novel about an alienated and lonely teenager who finds his purpose through the magic of punk rock. The film boasts solid performances and an original score by Pearl Jam's lead guitarist Mike McCready.

Lillard talks about how he made it happen on a tight budget, and his experience shooting in Seattle, where he encountered an "amazingly collaborative spirit."
