PRODUCTION SUMMER INTERNSHIP (Unpaid)Brooks Brothers, the 191 year old legendary specialty retailer, known for classic American style and excellence in both customer service and quality men’s and women’s merchandise, is looking for a Production Intern for our Women’s Production team this summer at our Brooks Brothers New York Headquarters on Madison Avenue (one block from Grand Central Station).
POSITION SUMMARY:The Production Intern will get an overview of the Brooks Brothers production process as s/he assists the Women’s Production Manager and team with day-to-day functions. The Production Intern will also learn how collaboration with the Planning, Merchandising and Technical departments helps to facilitate the production process. This internship is unpaid.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:- Assist the Production team in the creation of and adherence to the seasonal time and action calendar.
- Assist with the inputting of purchase orders, namely style creation, costing and amendments.
- Help with tracking, logging and filing of sample submits, lab dips, and fit approvals and communicating comments to vendors.
IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:
- Retail experience and basic textile knowledge.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize and be a team player.
- Attention to detail.
