August 26, 2009 - Thank You from the Founder!

Dear FABulous Dreamers,

I want to personally thank each and every person that came out on Wednesday August 26, 2009 to help me celebrate the official launch of The FAB Network, LLC. The event was themed, "From the Classroom to the Boardroom" - a professional panel discussion and networking mixer focusing on the topic of how industry leaders were able to achieve such admirable success in their respective careers. We had a FABulous professional lineup: SPECIAL GUESTS include - Cynthia Henriquez, Manager of Digital Promotions, Turner Broadcasting; Allyson Leak, Founder of She-blogs.com; Dr. Anthony Rodriguez - Professor at LIM (The College for the Business of Fashion); Ronnie Wright - Celebrity/Black Entertainment Television (BET) Photographer HONORARY SPEAKER - Emmy Award Winning Professional Makeup Artist, Karen Dupiche PANELISTS - Jennifer Cooper, Senior Photo Editor at Essence.com and Syndicated Photographer for Corbis; Patty Cooper - Education Development Manager, Parfums Givenchy and Guerlain Paris; Bakori Davis - Vice President of Content Distribution and Marketing, MTV Networks; and Terry Rodriguez - Assistant Vice President of Competitive Intelligence for Research & Development, L'Oreal USA.

To me, the event was more than a company launch, it was a platform for young adults to gain food for thought, knowledge and inspiration that they can translate into pursuing their professional goals. My mission for the evening was to bridge the gap by having industry professionals come and speak to up and comers, as well as provide an opportunity to network. My mission was accomplished times TEN! The positive feedback and energy that was flowing through the room was undeniable. Everyone seemed to have a sparkle in their eye. A rejuvenated spirit. A fire was ignited. We all need that pep talk or or that push . . . and I am super happy FAB served as the light in the dark tunnel that we all sometimes face.

To our honorary speaker and all the supporters, special guests, volunteers, and attendees . . . I THANK YOU from a very special place in my heart. I can't put into words how much this night meant to me. When I looked out into the crowd and saw YOUR faces, my heart smiled.

This is only the beginning. As FAB continues to grow and mature, I hope that you will remain on board to support FAB and the idea that dreams really are attainable. That you continue to believe we are the creator and writer of our own fate. That you live by the rule that anything is possible. That you believe you are FAB!
