Jessica founded The FAB Network, LLC (FAB), a professional consulting firm established to foster out-of-the box thinking and career advancement opportunities. The creation of FAB was a direct link to Jessica reflecting on her experiences as a post graduate and the inevitable fears and challenges aspiring professionals face as they transition from student to professional. Jessica now leverages her professional experience from entertainment and fashion companies including Donna Karan, BET Networks, Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment, MTV Networks and Givenchy/Emilio Pucci/Guerlain to help others pursue and accomplish their dreams through professional coaching.

Ni'Kita Wilson
Vice President, Cosmetech Laboratories

Ni'Kita is a Cosmetic Chemist behind the development of some of the most successful beauty products on the market! She can be seen speaking at industry conferences around the country and her quotes can be found in top fashion/beauty publications such as Allure and InStyle. Ni'Kita is a monthly columnist in Sister 2 Sister and Cosmetics & Toiletries magazines.

Patrice Batson
International Fashion & Accessories Coordinator, InStyle

At InStyle Magazine, Patrice is responsible for securing advertising and orchestrating events for over 150 clients. Prior to InStyle, Patrice worked at Versace as a Media Manager and assisted the public relations team in identifying, developing and placing stories in the media. Patrice started her career gaining valuable experience interning in the public relations departments of Chanel, Donna Karan, Iconix Brand Group and Seventeen Magazine. Patrice earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Public Relations from St. John's University.


Betty Beyene
Senior Manager of New Product Development, L'Oreal Paris

I started in the beauty industry as a make-up artist. After landing my first job at a counter, working for MAC cosmetics, I realized the passion I had for products, cosmetics in particular! I pursued my childhood dream of attending FIT, only it wasn't for fashion like I had planned when I was 12 years old. :) It was for Cosmetics & Fragrance Marketing. While attending FIT I interned at L'Oreal Paris. Upon completion of the FIT program, I was offered a full-time Assistant Manager (in NPD) position and I've been there since!

Kiarra Smothers
Content Distribution & Marketing Coordinator, MTV Networks/BET Networks

Kiarra has several years of corporate entertainment experience, interning and freelancing with companies such as So So Def, Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment, BET, Universal Motown and Vh1. She currently works for MTV/BET in the Sales and Marketing Division. She is a graduate of Howard University. Kiarra also takes pride in her community by serving as a mentor for iMentor and volunteering for various organizations.

Jennifer O’Brien
Manager of Sales Development, La Prairie

Jennifer has over ten years experience specializing in the beauty industry working for a multitude of brands such as La Prairie, Elizabeth Arden, Red Door Spas, Sephora, Avon, and MAC Cosmetics. She has held roles in corporate sales, training, retail management, and product development. Currently, Jennifer works for La Prairie in their sales department with responsibilities including business development and promotional planning for all major retailers. Jennifer holds a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Phoenix and is a graduate of the Cosmetic and Fragrance Marketing program at Fashion Institute of Technology.
