GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Assistant Marketing Manager provides operational support to the Marketing team in all marketing efforts and campaigns. The Assistant Marketing Manager coordinates efforts between a complex cross functional team including Merchandising, Design, Creative, PR, and Storeline to seamlessly execute marketing plans and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist the marketing team in the execution of in-store and external marketing efforts
· Work with the internal creative services team, interactive department and the marketing director to complete daily tasks and special projects
· Project management of seasonal campaigns including the development of briefing documents, monitoring timetables and ensuring the execution of all project deliverables
· Serve as the key contact for various departments throughout the organization including Merchandising, Design, Storeline and Operations
· Receive and evaluate all field marketing requests. Identify solutions to store specific issues that address the need and maintain brand consistency.
· Coordinate and liaise among Visual, Creative, Design and PR to assist in the development and execution of seasonal photo shoots.
· Develop marketing opportunities with mall partners by proactively pursuing local and regional marketing in key markets
· Maintain organized archive of marketing elements by season.
· Keep updated log of each piece of collateral produced & distributed by marketing team.
· Assist Senior Vice President, Marketing with all incoming solicitations.
· Maintain departmental budget including monthly accruals, invoice processing and budgeting
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· 1-2 years of marketing experience, preferably for a fashion retailer or wholesaler
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
· Highly motivated, strategic thinking and self-starting individual
· Strong knowledge of target groups’ pop culture interests
· Strong organizational and project management skills
· High taste level
· Passion for retail and brand building
· Excellent communication skills
